Weekly Pool Chores: What to do between our visits.

During summer our pools start getting a lot more use, which increases the load on the system and our need to keep an eye on everything. More often than not pool owners will schedule a visit from us once ever 4 weeks or so, but to keep your pool looking great and the water quality good there are a few things you should do between our visits.

Skimmer definitely needs a clean…

1. Skim & Brush the Pool

  • Skim debris (leaves, bugs, etc.) from the surface.

  • Brush the tile line and steps to clean debris and reduce any algae buildup.

2. Baskets and Cleaner

  • Empty the Skimmer to remove leaves and debris, ensuring a good flow of water through the filter and chlorinator.

  • Check the cleaner, if you have an automatic cleaner check that it is clear of obstructions and working correctly.

3. Inspect the Pool

  • Check the Equipment, is it all working and sounding ok. If not give us a call

  • Check the Water is at the correct level, it should be at least half way up the skimmer opening.

Prevention is better than Cure

These tasks should take no more than 15 minutes to complete, and can save you a significant outlay in repairs.

As always, any questions, any doubts, we are here to help so feel free to reach out if anything looks out of the ordinary. It is usually much cheaper to catch issues early.
