Pool Safety Requirements In QLD
Queensland law requires all pools and spas to have compliant safety barriers, self-closing and self-latching gates, and non-climbable zones to prevent unsupervised access by young children.
Pools must be registered with the QBCC, and a valid Pool Safety Certificate is mandatory when selling or leasing a property. Failure to comply can result in fines and increased liability in the event of an incident. QBCC Pool Safety Inspector PS15526853
